These flies are used to catch Dolphin and Sailfish. To productively retrieve the flies you can tuck the rod under your armpit and pull the line as if you were pulling a rope, with one hand over the other. This gives the fly a more realistic appearance to the fish.

Since the fish are usually more visible on their approach to these flies this is what makes fly fishing more enjoyable.

Use 12 to 14 weight rods to handle these fish.
