Monthly Fishing Forecast

This is the time of year when the bait fish migrate south along the coastline. Along with the bait fish are the fish that feed on them. You will find an abundance of Tarpons, Jack's, Kingfish and Mackerel. When the bait fish enter the intercoastal you will see Snook, Tarpon and Jack's exploding on the bait.

Tackle and Tips

Tip of the month is cast netting live finger mullet and hooking them in the bottom lip. Cast into the bait schools where the preditors are underneath them. Or use a Rapala lure 4 to 6 inches long. The silver and black short lip is my favorite. If you are Fly Fishing use a white and black or silver and black clouser fly.

Recipe of the Month

This months special is Snapper Bisque. It is so easy you will wonder why you were throwing away all those fish heads!! Click here for the recipe...
